My name is Iris Boy!

Iris is a 1-year-old gray tabby rescued from a back alleyway behind a shopping plaza in Margate where a local business owner had been feeding the rapidly multiplying colony of cats for about a year before their rescue. Iris is one of 4 cats that were part of the first litter of cats who have stayed with me as they became friendly and are sent to a rescue in Rhode Island to be adopted. The second litter of 5-week-old kittens were the first to go to the rescue and have all been adopted as well as two of the adults from the first litter which have also been adopted as well. Unfortunately, Iris is not progressing as quickly as the other cats and I am no longer able to stay in the home in which I am currently residing to take care of them. With a little extra love, I think Iris will come out of his shell and become a cuddly boy. He is quite playful and naturally curious but a bit shy as well. With a little extra love and patience, he can be an amazing addition to any family seeking a pet.
