My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moose is an almost 2 year old shep mix (born 3/23/22) who weighs around 65 lbs. We like to call him our own, personal Scooby-Doo or Marmaduke doppelganger, he is adorably stunning! Moose-man came to us originally as an owner surrender and went through our cell dog prison training program where he learned basic obedience and commands. He was adopted in July of 2023 but had to be returned to our program, as his new owner has fallen ill and could no longer provide him the care that he needs. Moose is housebroken, crate trained and does well with other dogs and dog educated children. In his foster home, he is also learning to coexist well with the kitties, but that will need continued supervision and training if you have cats. He is still young boy and does not know his size at times, so older children would likely be best. Moose is a sweetheart who is VERY smart and eager to please, making him fun to train and play with - so an active, fun home would be ideal for this big boy.
The adoption fee for Moose is $250.00 which includes his cell dog training, neuter, microchip with lifetime registration, vaccinations (DHLPPC, Lyme, rabies and kennel cough) and heartworm/lyme testing.
If you want to meet Moose with hopes to make him part of your family, be sure to FIRST apply on our website for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html

*Note: Ideally, ALL members of the family (canine and human alike) should be present for any meet and greet unless otherwise specified/discussed.

Please remember that we are a board of entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion. So, be patient with us and check out our Facebook page for more information and photo updates: facebook.com/trhap2014
