Marko came to the shelter as a stray at the beginning of 2024, and he's still here waiting to be loved by some kind humans! He's 4 years old, loves to run and play, but also enjoys quiet moments by your side. Marko adores attention, so he would thrive as the only pup in the house.

More about this shelter

In 1987, an initial attempt was made to organize a local humane society in Caroline County. While this attempt did not succeed, those same dedicated volunteers were not deterred.

From our humble beginnings 30 years ago, to where we are today, we are proud to be called “the little shelter that could”.

We provide service to our community through pet adoption, Rabies Clinics, Trap-Neuter-Return, Pet Pantry, Pet Lost & Found, Re-homing, Intake Diversion, Cremation
