AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - OZZY

BREED - Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle
SIZE - About 15 pounds
AGE - 4 years
GENDER - Male
MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known
BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Ozzy is a darling male, thought to be about 4 years old. Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet and sociable, liking everyone he meets. Ozzy came to us from a NC shelter where he had originally been found as a stray. We believe he's a super mix of Jack Russell Terrier, (known for their spunk, playfulness and agility) and Beagle (known for their soulful gentle ways). The combination makes for an interesting and enjoyable blend and likely a super personality! Fully grown at just 15 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Ozzy is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this amazing dog! A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give him room to run and play, potty and satisfy his sniffer! Ozzy may not be well suited to small children but will fit nicely into many other homes.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
