olly is a beautiful 7 year old Chihuahua mix who is looking for a new forever home. Sadly, her dad is no longer able to care for her. She needs a family who will have plenty of time to spend with her. She really enjoys being with her people and even likes cats! She has played with a kitten and two young girls when in boarding. She loves to be outdoors to roll in the grass, take walks, and watch the squirrels. She will do best in a home with a fully fenced yard.
Dolly is nervous upon meeting other dogs at first. She will need proper introductions to canine playmates before interacting with them. She has played with a few dogs in the past. She will need additional training as she is not fully housebroken. However, she does use wee wee pads.
Dolly is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. She is currently in foster. If you would like to meet this lovely pup, please fill out the adoption application on our website using a laptop or desktop (no phone or tablet, please) at https://bobbiandthestrays.org/adoption-page-new/. Kindly keep in mind that our adoptions are local only (NYC area and Long Island).

We require all potential adopters to complete an adoption form. We will make arrangements to meet with you, inspect the home where the animal will live, and, once approved, you'll be able to take home your new family member. Fees will be discussed with potential adopters.
We also require that adopters keep us updated on the well being of their pets and, if for any reason they are no longer able to keep the animal, they MUST call us to return the animal to us. We will pick up if necessary.

More about this rescue
Bobbi and the Strays believe that animals deserve our love, compassion, and respect. Our purpose is to undertake rescue operations and to provide essential care for orphaned, stray, abused and special needs cats and dogs.
Through rehabilitation, socialization, and adoption, we endeavor to provide a humane service to all animals that come into our care. Additionally, we generate awareness about the prevention of animal abuse and neglect as well as spay/neuter programs and their important effect on the dog and cat overpopulation crisis.
Through the years our mission has evolved from just rescue and adoption to community service and educational programs to improve the quality of life to all of the NYC boroughs and Long Island.
Our rescues are brought to schools to provide awareness, help prevent animal abuse and bullying by demonstrating and teaching love, compassion, and respect for life.
By establishing a program that serves low-income families, the elderly and disabled individuals, we bring the communities and animals together for a life of harmony through love and compassion for all.
Bobbi and the Strays is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt animal welfare organization, and a no-kill agency.
