My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name:  Roxy (her name was Proxima when I got her and changed it to Roxy)
Breed:  American Bulldog Mix (She is a Beautiful Dog)
Age: She will be 2 on May 1st
Vaccines: When I adopted her I was told she had all her vaccines
Neutered: She was also spayed before I got her
Chip: She was also chipped before I got her
Temperament: Crazy, Very hyper I can say.  When she gets the zoomies, she really gets the zoomies.  Definitely not mellow.
Enjoys: Lots and Lots and Lots of Attention.  24/7/265 type of Attention.  She loves treats and loves any kind of toy.
Potty trained?: She is definitely not potty-trained, you can take her for walk and she will almost every day poop in her crate or in the house. She will not even let you know she has to go.
Eyes:  Dark Brown
Get along with dogs? She gets along with the dogs that come around my home.  She is very playful with them but very dominant and can hurt them by mistake.
Good with cats?  Not sure how to answer this.  I don't have a cat and I don't like to go near cats.  She has never tried to take off if there is a cat outside while we are walking on a leash.
Good with kids?  She can be at times but she can get aggressive if she gets mad, not just with kids, with anyone.
How long have you had the pet for?  I adopted her in June 2023
Reason for rehoming?  I wish I didn't have to, but I feel like non of us can handle her and with my son having a baby soon I don't think this is going to be able to work out.  The fact that she is getting aggressive, especially when you have to put her back in the crate, it could get dangerous.
Good and cute pictures of them looking at the camera (at least 2-4)  I have attached at least 3 pictures.  Let me know if these are OK or if you need better ones
Phone number where people can contact you if interested.  786-899-6058 if I don't answer please leave a voicemail and send a text as well.

Additional adoption info

There is an adoption application used as a pre-screening tool (available on paws4you.org/application), references are required and house visits are made by volunteers. We request a donation with every adoption which includes sterilization, microchip & registration, current vaccinations and a heartworm/ehrlichia test. The adoption donation covers the boarding and medical expenses incurred on all rescues, not just one.

More about this rescue

PAWS4you Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer 501(c)3 animal rescue organization based in Miami, Florida. Our top priority is to save animals from euthanasia at Miami-Dade Animal Services. An average of one hundred animals are destroyed every day at this county shelter! Rescued animals vary from being sick, injured, homeless and surrendered to simply lost. We give these animals a safe environment, professional medical care, hope and lots of love. Our animals are sterilized, vaccinated and ID micro-chipped. Some require major surgery from a specialist to repair broken limbs while others may need additional rehabilitation time and specific medical care - ranging from bordetella (kennel cough) and skin infections to cherry eye and heartworm treatments. Once Paws 4 You Rescue commits to helping an animal, we seek the best quality treatment available - taking no shortcuts. Our dogs stay at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities and foster homes until they find their forever families.
