Bailey is a black beauty with very distinctive ears and expressions. She is approximately 7 months old, and of course has puppy tendencies, but she corrects well and is smart. She is food motivated, so that's a good training tool. She knows 'sit', but that's about the extent of her commands currently. She loves squeaky toys and can destroy them in minutes. She also likes balls and sticks. Although she has lots of energy and is a great 'zoomie' puppy, she will settle down and play gently with the old dog in her foster home. She goes out to potty and doesn't have house accidents if you are attentive to her letting you know she needs to go out. She does pretty well on the leash, but still needs some work with pulling. She LOVES kids and she is awesome with the children she is around, ages 10 and 11. She currently weighs 40 pounds, and was recently spayed. She is crate trained and will go in with a little encouragement. She can remain in her crate for 6 - 8 hours with no accidents. She does have a little extra security closure on her crate because she can escape at times. She would LOVE a younger, more energetic dog to play with and/or some 10 - 12 year old children that are familiar with loving and playing with an animal. She will bring joy to any home. Bailey is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative. Apply at FORrescue.net

More about this rescue
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
