Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dear Diary,
It’s me, 2 year old Petunia! Another day of being the most underrated queen of the rescue. I don’t mean to brag (okay, maybe just a little), but I’m basically the full package—smart, cuddly, playful, and did I mention I love snacks? Seriously, give me a crunchy veggie or a juicy piece of fruit, and I’m yours forever.
Today started off with my usual routine: wake up, stretch my 62-lb majestic self, and patiently wait for breakfast (extra points if there’s a treat involved). Then, it’s time for my morning zoomies—two walks a day AND some backyard play? Yes, please! I love a good game of fetch, splashing in water, or figuring out how to outsmart a puzzle toy. (Spoiler: I always win.)
I’m still on the hunt for my perfect human. I need someone patient and understanding because, well, I take a little time to warm up to new people. But once you’re in my inner circle? Oh boy, you’re in for a lifetime of cuddles, kisses, and my famous snuggle-under-a-blanket routine.
I’m looking for a quiet home with no tiny humans (they’re too unpredictable for my taste), but I’d love a calm male dog friend to keep me company! I promise I’ll be the bestest companion, as long as you give me the time and space to trust you.
So, Diary, here’s hoping my human sees this and realizes I’m the missing piece in their life. Until then, I’ll be here practicing my commands (I’m a pro at sit, stay, and paw, by the way) and waiting for my forever best friend.
Love,
Petunia

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Please help us help the animals!
