My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pink, a resilient soul who has overcome challenges and is now ready to embark on a new chapter of her life. This sweet girl found herself abandoned by her previous owners at a local shelter, left alone and pregnant. It was a careless act that could have had dire consequences, but Pink's story took a turn for the better when the shelter reached out to us for help.

Pink arrived at our rescue just in time to give birth to her precious puppies. She proved to be an exceptional mother, caring for her little ones with love and dedication. Now that her puppies are weaned and ready to find their own homes, Pink is eager to find her forever family.

Having faced hardship, Pink can be a bit shy when meeting new people. It's understandable given her past, but once she establishes trust, Pink transforms into a devoted and loyal companion. She becomes a "velcro dog," sticking by your side and ready to do anything to make her person happy.

Pink is not a fan of solitude, preferring the comfort of human companionship. Extended periods alone make her anxious, so a family with a flexible schedule or the ability to provide companionship would be ideal. Additionally, Pink thrives as the center of attention and would do best as the only dog in her new home.

What Pink truly deserves is a patient and caring family who understands her past and is committed to providing the love and security she missed out on before. If you're ready to open your heart to a dog who has weathered the storm and emerged stronger, Pink is waiting to become a cherished member of your family. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
