WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Winston is 98 pounds of BIG LOVE! He is fun fun fun and high energy. He gets along with everyone, and wants to be your friend right away. He loves to play tug and fetch, and enjoys running and jumping in the backyard. We think Winston is an American Bulldog mix, and he exhibits the independent and sometimes stubborn, but affectionate, nature of the breed. He gets along well with other dogs (although is a little clueless when they ask him for personal space). We are unsure about his ability to dwell with cats (we are sure he wants to chase them).
Winston has started work with a trainer to help him learn boundaries and his trainer continuously says how quick he is to catch on. His ideal family will be willing to be assertive with him and continue this training to help Winston learn restraint. Part of this is tiring him out, so Winston would love an athletic, and outdoorsy parent who is equipped with a backyard or easy access to hiking trails and open spaces.
ATTRIBUTES: Winston has done well interacting with other dogs both big AND tiny.
