My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Handsomest Mansomest Laid-back Buddy Cat

Type II Fun is here to show you how being mellow and chill gets you the most out of life. He is all about lounging around and basking in different spots. Type II is a lover and shows a fair amount of affection while maintaining independence.

Type II Fun was an outdoor cat, but he was so friendly we wanted to bring him inside to be a companion cat. He very much enjoys both his me time and his time with humans. This boy loves to be brushed, and will make biscuits on you while you're petting him. He loves your company so much he wants both of your hands petting him at all times! After living outside by himself he appreciates being cared for and has to make up for lost time!

Type II Fun is so social that he even greets our visitors, who are perfect strangers to him. He's a silly boy, rubbing against all the people, rolling over to show off his belly, and purring up a storm.

Type II isn't very vocal but he does have 2 signature sounds he will grace you with more often. He has a lovely deep purr that conveys all his affectionate emotions. Type II also has a croaky meow that takes opening his whole mouth to let out. He has a very round face that makes him look super squishy.

He is currently in a group room with other cats and does quite well. He isn't best friends with the more energetic cats but he doesn't mind them and they live together peacefully. He shares his treats pretty well but does try to eat as much churu as he's able to!

Type II Fun has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Type II Fun can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
