Dexter has an obedience package waiting for him at Better K9 when he is adopted which includes 3 field lessons and 3 in-homes. He and the owner will receive instruction for heel, sit, recall, sit stay, down stay, place command, boundary control and problem solving

The Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center (formerly the Riverside Humane Society) is an Adoption Guarantee Organization that takes in healthy, adoptable animals.

All of our animals are spayed or neutered, updated on all vaccinations and microchipped upon adoption. They enjoy indoor, comfortable kennels and are socialized by volunteers on a regular basis.

Our mission is to eliminate the suffering of homeless cats and dogs by:

•Providing humane care for pets in transition
•Facilitating adoptions to loving homes
•Providing humane and pet overpopulation education to the public
•Supporting sterilization of companion animals
