My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cheeky’s bday is April 28th and will be 3 years old. She got her name because of all her fluffy cheeks haha. Her hair stands up on top of her head sometimes like a troll. Its long.

She really grew big. All black white tips on paws. She likes attention. She loves being pet. She isn’t very active. Good for someone who wants a quiet lap pet (like a lap dog). She is not fixed.

No adoption fee to approved adopter.

More about this rescue

Recycled Tails was created by Heidi Evans in 2011 to continue her life long dream of rescuing animals of all shapes and sizes.

We have our 501c3 non-profit status and are always recruiting foster homes. We rescue unwanted pets including dogs, other domestic pets and barnyard friends (including chickens!) and work to find them their new forever homes.

We have a program to help pet owners who need to rehome their pets to keep their pets in their homes until a new home can be found. We can provide vet care/food/training to qualified pet owners who have a reason to rehome their pet in order to allow the pet to stay in the home as long as possible. Our goal is to place the pet right from one home to another.

We believe education can be the key to successful pet ownership. Heidi has spoken at schools and other programs to young adults about the meaning of owning a pet and all of the requirements that go along with it. If we can educate our youth it will benefit the future of pet ownership overall. If you would like to learn more about this please email us.
