My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carla and her sister Heidi's story began with heartbreak as they were unceremoniously dropped off at a vacant house in October. Confused and scared, the sisters were lucky enough to find a kind neighbor who fed and cared for them. Carla and Heidi gradually revealed their true personalities - underneath the timid exteriors are two sweet and affectionate souls yearning for love and security. The two girls did not get along with the rescuers dog and cat and are now with us looking for their forever home.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also do adoption events at the Petsmart in Lacey Washington.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America. We are just moving into a larger office where we hope to provide vet services, have a pet food bank, operate our spay and neuter clinic and other exciting things for the future.
