Elizabeth Bennet is a reflection of her fictional namesake from Pride and Prejudice. Daring, unique, and a kind soul Elizabeth; also sweetly referred to as "Lizzy", makes anywhere she is extra special. Lizzy is extremely soft in nature. She is very gentle, loves love, catnip, a perfect perch, and good company.
Elizabeth was a pregnant stray near her foster home. Her foster knew she needed to get her inside to have her babies safely before fall and winter came. Her foster eventually won her over and moved her into her home where she had six beautiful kittens. Lizzy was an amazing mother and still holds all the sweetness she did through her pregnancy and raising her kittens. Being a stray, Lizzy is always tentative of new people at first but there is nothing like gaining her trust and affection. You will have a sitting buddy for a lifetime to read books or watch movies with. While Lizzy can seem reserved and definitely gives the other fosters first dibs on play time, she knows how to let loose and get silly with a cat wand and premium catnip!
Elizabeth is still learning how to be loved fully. She can be held a bit and petted but is still not sure about laps and kissing and putting your face too close can scare her off. However, like Jane Austen's Elizabeth, she will forgive you eventually if you forget your manners! Elizabeth would do fantastic in a household with her kittens Kitty & Liddy, another cat or two (easier if they are on a more submissive side as she's used to being the boss of six kittens), or your one and only! She'd like a home with older children only.
Warning, Elizabeth has big expressive eyes and knows how to use them to win you over!

More about this rescue
Tenth Life's Mission:
Giving cats the lives they deserve.
At Tenth Life, we believe that every cat, regardless of emotional or physical limitations, deserves the chance at a fulfilling and happy life.
We provide veterinary care, foster homes, and adoptive placement to stray cats and kittens, prioritizing those with special needs. We work to end unnecessary euthanasia and cat homelessness through educational outreach, community programs, and collaborative partnerships.
Only when a trusted veterinarian determines that a cat is in a state of incurable suffering, does Tenth Life relieve them of their pain through gentle and humane euthanasia. This difficult and thoughtful decision is never made in response to a lack of space, negative behaviors, or because a cat's medical needs are challenging or expensive.
