Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet HAMISH, a.k.a. Hammy, The Ham Man, Hamhock, Hamburglar, Hammer Time (and so many more). Believe it or not, they all fit! That's because sometimes this little fella presents as a proper Scottish gentleman (Hamish), sometimes as a doe-eyed, cuddle-seeking lovebug (Hammy, The Ham Man, or Hamhock), and sometimes as a 90s pop rap artist (because when you meet him for the first time, you can't touch this 😹). Hamburglar is, of course, reserved for when he swipes toys from his roommate and stealthily slinks away 🥸
When we first met The Ham Man, he had been sentenced to death at SEAACA for having contracted mange. While admittedly unpleasant, mange (also known as scabies) is VERY treatable and preventable, and absolutely no reason to die.
Hammy is looking and feeling SO much better and is well on his way to a full recovery. After his neuter next week and his last set of vaccines and treatment the week after, he'll be ready for his forever home around mid-February.
Hammy is seeking a home with another energetic young cat or kitten. (He currently bunks with Po, a 2-to-3-year-old Ragdoll who tolerates his antics but is a far cry from the wrestling partner of his dreams.) If you and your current cat fit that profile and think you both could use a little Ham in your life, fill out an application and come see why we are wild about this guy. Born 10/2023.
