My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you seeking a serene feline friend with a gentle spirit and a love for quiet observation? Look no further than Holly, a 7-year-old female cat with a heart as tender as her demeanor. Holly's shy nature belies her warm heart, and she's ready to find solace and companionship in a peaceful forever home.

Holly may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up to you, she's a loyal and devoted companion. She appreciates a calm and tranquil environment where she can observe the world around her from a safe distance. Holly finds comfort in the simple pleasures of life, like watching the world go by from the comfort of her favorite windowsill.

While Holly has previously been housed with other cats, she would prefer a home where she can either be the sole feline companion or live with other calm and laid-back cats who respect her space. She values peace and harmony and thrives in an environment where she can feel secure and at ease.

Despite her initial reservations, Holly's heart is full of love, and she enjoys gentle pets and affection from her favorite humans. She may take some time to build trust, but once she does, she'll shower you with purrs and affectionate nuzzles. Holly is a serene and graceful presence who will bring a sense of calm and tranquility to your home.

If you're ready to open your heart and home to a gentle and observant companion, Holly is waiting to meet you. Come meet this wonderful cat today and discover the joy of welcoming her into your life. Adopt Holly, and experience the unconditional love and companionship of a furry friend like no other!

Holly qualifies for our Sponsored by Simba program's Seniors-for-Seniors offer: no adoption fee for any pet 8 years and up by an adopter 65 years plus.
*This program also covers Pets for Veterans: no adoption fee for any military veteran adopting a pet 1 year and older.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1929, the Brandywine Valley SPCA is the first open admission shelter in Pennsylvania to achieve No Kill status and serves as the only open admission shelter in both Chester and Delaware Counties. In 2015, the BVSPCA opened its first Animal Health Center in Malvern, Pennsylvania, making veterinary care more accessible to local residents. In 2016, the BVSPCA took on a five-year contract with the Delaware Office of Animal Welfare to provide state-wide animal services, and expanded its reach further into the tri-state area by opening both a second shelter and a second Animal Health Center in New Castle County, Delaware. Shortly after, a PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center was opened in Dover, Delaware. Its mission is to put the “human” back in humane animal treatment and to advocate on their behalf. Each year, the BVSPCA cares for more than 10,000 stray, owner-surrendered, wayward owned, and abused and neglected animals.
