My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

                                                                             KENNEL ID #01658

Ayesha was living in a local hoarding situation with her 9 pups. Sadly, one of the pups vanished in trash in the home. Also rescued was the pup’s daddy Max, a Chihuahua Dachshund mix, who has already found his forever home. The dog’s elderly owner was reluctantly moved into an assisted care facility. The adult grandchildren were tasked with emptying out the home of mountains of debris. Ayesha is a great mom and very protective of her pups. She and her 1-week-old pups went into a foster home on New Year’s Day. In her foster home Ayesha was surprisingly a very clean dog. She tended to her puppies around the clock cleaning up after them. She herself is 100% house-trained. Ayesha was very protective of her pups and was aggressive to strangers. Very typical for a good mom to be protective of her babies. It takes her a little while to warm up to new people but once she does, she is very loving and wants to be a lap dog. Ayesha bonds quickly to women, men not so much. She would not be well suited for a busy, loud household. She also has a very high prey drive and will chase down anything smaller that runs and acts like prey. The home she came from had some mice and rats but not very many since Ayesha and Max put an end to most of them. So a pet rabbit, rat etc. in the home would not survive with her.
