My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Dahlia. I'm a bit shy, but once you get to know me, I'm really sweet and gentle. I like quiet corners where I can watch the world go by. Loud noises startle me, so I prefer a calm environment. I'm not the type to jump around and bark, I'd rather snuggle up and enjoy a peaceful moment. I'm still learning about the world and sometimes, it scares me. But I'm capable of being brave. I just need someone patient and kind to help me find my confidence. I would love to have a dog friend to play with and be my best friend. Adopting me means you'll have a loyal friend for life, who will love you unconditionally. I will try my best to be the perfect companion if you give me the chance to shine.

FOSTER TESTIMONIAL: "Dahlia LOVED following my older (and more dominant) dog Maudie around. She clearly wants someone to lead the way for her where she can just follow along, and I think she'd do best with a family with another dog with a strong/dominant personality that could be her guide. Within a few hours of being at the house, she quickly warmed up to affection and started running up to me and asking for pets. When I'd sit down outside, she would immediately place her head in my lap and wag her tail, hoping for some love and attention. In the morning, she wanted lots and lots of love before she'd do anything. She is incredibly sweet!!"

I am a foster to adopt doggie so please fill out the online application and one of the foster staff will reach out to you. We are also open 12noon-6pm every day to visit with.
