My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner on January 28, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Taz, a charismatic and energetic boy who is ready to bring joy into your life! His previous home has had nothing but good things to say about Taz, displaying excellent compatibility with children and getting along well with other dogs outside the home. He's not just potty trained but also crate trained, making him an excellent indoor companion. Taz's enthusiasm for life is evident in his love for car rides and his boundless energy. His affectionate nature shines through as he adores meeting people. If you're looking for a caring and lively canine companion, Taz may just be the perfect addition to your family!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
