My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Special Needs Please Read:
Meet Eerie: Hi! I am a rambunctious little guy. Have you ever heard of ‘Orange cat syndrome’? Well I think I have that also. I LOVE taking risks! You can catch me trying to jump off walls, climbing really high and sometimes I even try to sprint around to beat my own speed record! Some people say I am not as cute because of my eyes. But I hope that won’t slow down my changes of finding my Purrfect family!!

Siblings Spooky and Errie have a condition called eyelid agenesis…. Eyelid agenesis, also known as eyelid coloboma, is a congenital defect that causes abnormal eyelid development in cats. Part or all of the upper eyelid is missing, and the lid functions abnormally.
This condition generally affects both eyes and most commonly occurs along the upper and outer aspects of the eyelids. The cause of eyelid agenesis is not fully understood; however, hereditary patterns or in utero viral transmission have been proposed.
These particular kitties have had one surgery to help with correcting some of the small defects around their eyes. They do have some limited vision but, overall do amazing! Only time will tell if another surgery is right for them and continued treatment for the eyes could be a long term effect as well , we continue to do eye drops when needed but, they have been doing amazing since having their corrective surgery!
