ABOUT MAX
This shy guy is Max! He is a 1.5 year old kitty that is still learning the world is not so scary. Max was adopted from HAP as a young kitten, but sadly his owners did not continue to socialize him and returned him over a year later for being scared. Despite being back at the shelter, our cattery team has been spending lots of time with him to help him open up. We believe with continued socialization and patience, Max will be able to grow his confidence in a home. He is seeking a calm home environment, with owners that understand cat boundaries and are comfortable letting him have some alone time as he adjusts.

**Max is seeking a home without young children, due to his lack of socialization and firm boundaries. He is very fearful of dogs and would do best in a home without them.

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
