My name is SHORTCAKE!

Everybody here loves Shortcake! This sweetheart was a big hit at a recent adoption event where he showed folks what a handsome, well-mannered fellow he is. He loves people, including kids, and gratefully accepts petting from everyone. He's housetrained and walks well on his leash. He does well with other dogs here at the shelter, and loves to play in the dog park, so bring your dog over for a meet-and-greet! He'd do best in a home with no cats. He knows how to sit, accepts treats gently, and he's an affectionate "leaner" who will gently lean in on you to soak up all the loving he can get. He's about 3 years old, with a beautiful brindle coat, white markings, and bright brown eyes. He's already neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. After a recent NHS adoption event, a volunteer reported that Shortcake is "SO handsome and incredibly loving. I can't get enough of his big face and his sweetness.
