Meela travelled all the way from Bahrain in her search for a better life. This stunning girl with big amber eyes is still wary of people, but she gets braver every day! It's impossible to know what kinds of experiences she had with humans in the past, but she tends to be much less nervous around new cats than she is around new people. In her foster home, Meela has started to claim more space outside of her bedroom, and explore the cat shelves in the living room, but she hasn't started seeking attention from people yet. Every night, she returns to her room for her food and some treats. Before saying good night, her foster mom slow blinks at her, and waits until Meela returns the squinty eyes before leaving her for the night.
Meela clearly has lots of play energy, because she loves to run through her tunnel and bat toys around overnight! Once she even pounced at her foster mom's feet! Play is another method her future adopter can use to bond with her. Meela is also a fan of Temptations, but refuses to eat Blue Wilderness cat treats - picky kitty! Meela would fit in wonderfully in a multi-cat household, where she can follow the lead of more confident cats. This girl has so much love to give, but needs a patient adopter who understands that she requires time to overcome her past and journey to Canada. Due to her shy nature, she'd do best in a home without young children.
If you're willing to take a nervous little lovebug like Meela and give her the patience to show her true colours, please reach out to Team Cat Rescue today!

Adoption fees are $250 for adults, $300 for kittens and $150 for seniors which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip. All kittens under 1 year require another young cat in the home.
We do not adopt out to people who will declaw or release their cat outdoors. WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF ONTARIO UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED. WE ALSO DO NOT WAIVE/NEGOTIATE ADOPTION FEES.
