Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Winnie! Winnie is a 6 year old, 12 pound Cavachon with a beautiful cream coat.
Winnie is quickly learning how to be a loving dog and with time will want to be near people for loving praise and pets. She would do well with another dog in her forever home to show her the ropes! Although she still is unsure about human touch, it's only a matter of time until her personality starts to shine. She'd thrive in a patient forever home willing to give her the time she needs to decompress.
In terms of house training, Winnie uses pee pads because she can be nervous going outside, but she has started to pee outside! She likes wet dog food, scrambled eggs and cheese for treats.
If you are looking for a dog who you can carry around and travel with, who you can help learn the ways of doghood, then Winnie is your girl!
Winnie is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.
Winnie is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
