Schwartz and Jax are seven-year-old brothers who were given up due to allergies. Schwartz is the silver tabby. He is big (not fat) like a Maine Coon and has the friendly and fun characteristics that the breed is known for. Jax is the tabby and white guy with the fun mustache. He is very gentle and sweet. Their family made the difficult decision to surrender them because several family members were allergic to the cats. They tried to make it work for three years but realized the cats would be happier in a home where they could be out and get lots of attention. They are still settling in, but both are sweet, laidback cats. They are only available as a pair since they have been together their whole lives. They were recently updated on their veterinary care and are ready for adoption. They can be shy with new people and have never lived with dogs so would probably be happier in a home without dogs.
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application here: medfieldshelter.com/adopt

All adoption meetings are by appointment. Filling out our adoption application is the first step in the process. To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application from this page:
