All fees apply to pets at the shelter and in foster.

The Montgomery County Animal Shelter is committed to the delivery of effective, courteous, and responsive animal care and control services to the residents of Montgomery County, Texas. The Shelter is responsible for Montgomery County's stray, injured, abandoned, neglected, and mistreated animals, as well as for the enforcement of all state and local Animal Control and Welfare laws. Our mission at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter is twofold:

1. To protect the health and welfare of our citizens, and;
2. To save animals lives through increased rescue and adoption, increased spay and neuter, and the treatment of treatable animals.
