Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looks like: Jack Russell Terrier, Chihuahua mix
Male, 13 years old (estimated), 15 pounds
Walnut is pretty far from a tough nut to crack. This sweet, mellow pup is just looking for a soft place to land with a lot of love, treats, and belly rubs. Walnut's ideal day is a beach walk followed by a warm bed to cuddle up in, preferably with you in it, too. This homebody would be a great fit for someone who needs a pup by their side to remind them to stop and smell the roses.
This little guy would do well in a home as the only apple of your eye or with other doggy siblings. However, we have not yet seen him interact with kitties or kiddos, so we'd want to make sure young children were respectful and interactions were monitored before making a match. Walnut needs to take medication for his heart condition and his eyes, but he takes them like a champ. He's currently working on his marking tendencies, and we'd be happy to share with you the tools for his continued success. Walnut does have some tumors that must be monitored and occasionally leak.
This little guy is looking for love after being found as a stray and being brought to Hitchcock Road Animal Services.
