My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Hettie (or Betty, Jetty, Nettie, Teddy?!)

Age: 5 years (as of 2/01/24)

Gender: Female

Breed: Bulldog mix

Good with dogs? Hettie is great on walks with her foster dog bros, in the house she likes to be the dominate one. Slow doggie intros are best!

Good with kids? YES!

Good with cats? Unsure

Has experience on a leash? Yes, she enjoys walks and would even enjoy a jog

Potty trained? Yes

Crate trained? No

What is Hettie's rescue story: She was saved from euthanasia in a Roswell, NM shelter.

Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? Hettie has our laundry room to herself, with a bed, blankets, toys, water. We are using a baby gate to provide her own safe space

Where does the dog sleep? Couch, dog bed, however I can see her snuggling in the human bed!

When does the dog eat? Morning and afternoon, I’ve been giving her a lunch too

What does the dog eat? She is eating a seafood kibble and beef fresh pet

Temperament/Personality: Hettie loves people! She loves following us around the house - she is a wonderful companion

What does the dog's ideal home look like? Lots of places to snuggle! She also enjoys playing fetch in our yard.

What are the dog's strengths? Hettie can sit, stay, great at pottying outside, gentle with children, gives lots of smooches

What is the dog still working on? What can they improve? Interacting with her foster brothers

If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? Abby Wambach

If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say? Hettie: looking for a love, to go on walks, grab a pup cup, fetch some tennis balls and of course Netflix and chill (Hettie is sleeping a good 11 hours straight)

Beach or Mountains? Beach!

Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? So far she’s into all of these! Chasing tennis balls is tops

Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could share….. a safe space with lots of love and pets and Hettie snorts”
