My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Available in Kennesaw, GA

Nugget is brilliant, beautiful, and brave. Curious and courageous. A World-class cuddler. She is a testimony to everything this breed should be. Loyal with a great recall. She is never too busy to come when called.

She is playful with a great off-switch. Her teeth are as sharp as a sharks but your skin will never know. She does this adorable jaw snapping thing that sounds like a bear trap closing, but her control of her jaw pressure when your hand is involved is amazing. She will play a rough as you want to get but the first sign she has hurt you, she dials down.

She doesn't need a big yard but will need lots of simulation and ongoing training. Would do best in a home with a doggie buddy and/or dog savvy kids. She is learning to sit to be petted but has a tendency to turn into a kangaroo when excited.

Nugget is at that tall and lanky phase where she is tripping over her own feet and up the stairs. She loves to play fetch the stick and came pre-programmed to bring it back to her people.

Brain games help to redirect some of her puppy energy but when left to her own devises she will create her own games like Couch Ball (see foster mom for details).

This little Nugget deserves a family who has experience with the breed and is dedicated to helping her navigate her instincts.

She has been working on:
Sit
Down
Come
Touch
Get your tail
Wait
Free
Go to Your Room

She is eager to please and highly food motivated.

Struggles: She had rough start to life and lacked indoor experience. Upon arriving at her foster home the only place she felt comfortable going to the bathroom was in her crate (cave), she is learning to Knock on the Door when she needs to go out. She is getting better every day, but still occasionally has an accident in her room. Her foster mom leaves a T-shirt in her room if she has to be away for a few hours. Nugget will use it to dry up the area.

Nugget is an early riser. Like clockwork, she needs to go potty 1 hour before the alarm goes off. Once she goes potty, she is happy to go back to her room or even better, come curl up with you for an early morning nap.

This not-so-little Nugget will make a great addition to any family. If you are looking for a ride-or-die, Lyla is your dog. Here is the link to the application:
