Basil (Baz) is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd that was purchased through Soggy Bottom Aussie's located in Powhatan, Virginia. Our family brought him home in March 2021 and he quickly became a loved member of the family. He is intelligent, energetic, loving, and a complete Velcro dog. Shortly after the birth of our daughter in April 2022, we realized that the time needed to train and take care of him was more than we could handle. He is weary of strangers and men and will bark at both, but is not aggressive with them. At times his energy level is too much for little kids, so he would be best with older children. Basil requires room to run around and a family who can provide the training and exercise he deserves. A home with a large plot of land for him to run around would be perfect and owners who can put in time to train him.
