My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Welcome to the tales of resilience and hope! Meet our extraordinary pack of survivors, the stars of our hoarding rescue. These brave souls have endured unimaginable hardships, yet their spirits remain unbroken, and their hearts are filled with boundless love, ready to shower their forever families with affection.

In the depths of a bitter cold, these 42 dogs found themselves trapped in a world of neglect, deprived of warmth, sustenance, and the love they so desperately craved. But their story took a remarkable turn when our dedicated team swooped in to offer them a second chance at life.

Among the rescued are 15 adult dogs, each with a story etched in resilience, and 27 precious puppies, a testament to the enduring spirit of hope.

Now, as they embark on their journey towards healing and happiness, we are on a quest to find them the loving homes they deserve. While their past may have left scars, their capacity for love knows no bounds. They are eager to embrace the warmth of a cozy home, the joy of a gentle touch, and the security of a family to call their own.

For potential adopters with existing furry companions, meet-and-greets are a must, ensuring a harmonious blend of personalities and paving the way for lifelong friendships.

Our team has seen it proven time and again that with love and patience, they can flourish in the most nurturing environments.

So, if you're ready to open your heart and home to a furry friend who embodies courage, resilience, and unwavering loyalty, look no further than our beloved hoarding rescue dogs. Together, let's script a new chapter of love, hope, and endless tail wags. Adopt, don't shop, and be a hero in their story! 🐾

Additional adoption info

Find the pet for you at the Adoption Center:
Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.

Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).

Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.

Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:
