My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cookie is from Minnesota and has been raising her puppies in a whelping home for the last few weeks and now she's ready for her very own foster to help her find a forever home! Cookie is about 2.5 years old and 55 pounds. She has lived with cats, other dogs, and kids and done Fien with all of them. She does guard her food and toys a bit so playtime should be monitored. She's learning to walk on a leash and she LOVES to snuggle on the couch with her humans. She also loves her treats and peanut butter kongs!

From her foster: Hi I am Cookie and am the sweetest dog you'll ever meet! I really love people and it just so happens that everyone I meet loves me too. I'm a very relaxed and laid back gal, plus I am house trained and crate trained(I also do just fine left alone outside of my crate). I enjoy the outdoors and really love leisure walks.
I do have a foster sister that I get along well with, I don't pay much attention to her and just prefer to hang with my people instead. I don't love to share food or toys with my canine friends so would want to be supervised with these around other canine friends. I also don't care for any other dogs outside of the home, I really just love my people.
My ideal and dream day would be hanging out on the couch all day with my humans. I'm very easy going and gentle and would do great in a calmer/ low activity home.

The Bond Between's goal is to not keep any animals at our rescue office. The majority of our animals are living in foster homes until they are adopted. Occasionally, animals are living in our rescue office that are in need of a foster home.

The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
