My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Julie, a delightful one-year-old tan pocket pitty with a heart as big as her playful spirit! Julie is on the lookout for a special household that can cater to her specific needs while providing plenty of love and fun. Julie is a charming and affectionate pup who lights up the room with her boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm. Despite being just one year old, she`s already mastered the art of spreading joy wherever she goes. Julie`s love for life is evident in everything she does. She`s a true love-bug, always eager for cuddles, belly rubs, and quality time with her favorite humans. Despite facing some restrictions, Julie`s playful nature shines through, making her a beloved companion for anyone lucky enough to meet her. When she`s not busy showering her shelter staff with affection, Julie enjoys playing with soft toys, chasing after balls during a game of fetch, and showing off her intelligence by learning new tricks. She`s highly intellegent and treat-motivated, looking for someone who is willing to teach her new tricks. Julie is searching for a household that understands and respects her specific needs while providing a loving and nurturing environment. A home with plenty of space for play and exploration, as well as opportunities for cuddles and relaxation, would be the perfect fit for Julie`s energetic yet affectionate personality. If you`re ready to welcome Julie into your heart and home, don`t hesitate to reach out and arrange a meeting. With her playful spirit and loving nature, Julie is sure to bring endless joy and laughter to the lucky family that adopts her.

More about this shelter

Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.

We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.

We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.

At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
