My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for talk, dark and handsome? You may have found your guy! Concord is looking for an indoor-only home after living outside on his own for at least a year.
Concord is a gentle, loving cat who gets along with other cats. He'll need an adopter who knows cats and is willing to be patient with him and continue his training as he adjusts to a new home. As you can imagine, fending for himself outside, he had to be careful of everyone and everything. He did GREAT in his foster home but needs his adopter to continue helping him become his best, most relaxed self. He much prefers a forever home to the shelter-wanna give him his freedom ride?!
Things Concord loves include: snuggling by his foster mom's side when she works or watches TV; belly rubs; making biscuits while being pet; pouncing on treats when tossed; watching the birds out the window while sitting on a cat tree; playing with the wand toy and catnip banana; following his foster mom around; Churu sticks and wet food!
Like any sensible man, you'll need to earn his trust. Concord gets scared when faces get too close suddenly-so you can't move in for a kiss right away. However, feeding him a Churu stick or Delectable by your face will get you kissed on the nose by him! He also is frightened of being picked up (we can hear him thinking "What if they put me outside again?!)-these are the areas where you'll want to continue his training. Well, and getting into the carrier too-his foster family had some tricks up their sleeve for that (leaving his carrier out ... every time he eats he goes into the carrier first, then gets Friskies shreds!).
Concord is truly a sweet, loving boy who deserves a loyal adopter to give him a safe home. Will you be the one who lets Concord know he's part of a family now-for forever?
Bonus: Did you know that in some countries (like Scotland and Japan), black cats are considered good luck? Concord will be your very own good luck charm!

I hope to meet you soon!

Our cats & kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
