River, a 1-year-old, spayed female, American Bulldog, is a bundle of energy, always ready for a game of fetch or a playful run in the yard. She would thrive in an active household that can keep up with her lively spirit. Her absolute favorite activity is fetch, and she'll joyfully retrieve the ball for hours. Engaging toys and interactive play will keep her entertained and happy! River is a foodie at heart so she is easily motivated in training sessions for food and treats! She gets along with some dogs, but can be selective in who she chooses to play with, so we recommend bringing in your dog to meet if you’re looking to add another canine companion to your home! Underneath her lively exterior, is a sweet girl who loves affection and cuddles. Let us know if you’d like to meet River!
Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.
Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
