My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TJ Maxx just passed his second Thanksgiving at the shelter, and heandamp;#39;s about to spend his second Christmas here too. Heandamp;#39;s ready to go home. Heandamp;#39;s been working on his manners with our volunteers and has learned a lot! Heandamp;#39;s improved his leash skills and can mostly walk like a pro. (Nobodyandamp;#39;s perfect!)andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;This guy is truly the whole package. TJ Maxx is looking for someone who loves to be active, go for runs and hikes, and gives a mean chest rub. TJ loves to play with other dogs and would love dog friends that like to play with him. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;This boy is extremely friendly and loving, and is loved by everyone that meets him.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
