My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peony, a charming 1-year-old Chinese Sharpei with a heart as sweet as her name. Weighing in at a dainty 40 pounds, Peony is a friendly and calm companion. She excels on the leash, demonstrating a natural elegance that matches her shy yet endearing demeanor. With a penchant for pup cups and a love for treats, Peony cherishes scratches on her head, revealing her cuddly and affectionate nature. While she may be a bit timid at first, a patient and understanding owner is sure to bring this lovely flower out of her shell. If youandamp;#39;re ready to offer Peony the gentle care she deserves, you might just find a loyal and loving friend in her.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Conoce a Peony, una encantadora Sharpei chino de 1 año con un corazón tan dulce como su nombre.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
