Sandra Dee’s adoption donation is $425 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. She has also had a dental cleaning with multiple extractions. Sandra Dee requires a home with a secure, physically fenced yard, a companion dog of similar size/energy and a strong veterinary history.
Sandra Dee came into rescue from a seizure by the Richland County Humane Society. She is learning that people can be kind and that good things come from them like treats. She is slowly getting over her fears and will come when she hears the dog treat bag being opened. Sandy did have a number of teeth removed during her dental cleaning and she has recovered and we have kept her on a soft diet, which she loves. A patient and understanding home will be needed for Sandy to continue her progress. She looks to the companion dog for cues on how to react and definitely follows their lead. Sandy does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule. She is still learning to walk on a leash so that is why a fenced yard is required for her own safety at this time.
