My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Added to Pre-At Risk like: Baloo is dog selective and would do best as the only dog in the home. He is not reactive, but doesnandamp;#39;t like if other dogs bark at him first. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Baloo is not your average bear - heandamp;#39;s a super, super sweet boy who canandamp;#39;t resist the allure of belly rubs and affection from everyone he meets. His gentle nature and loving demeanor make him the perfect cuddle buddy. andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;This lovable pooch has aced his doggy day out report card with flying colors, earning him an A++++ for his delightful behavior. Whether heandamp;#39;s in the car, on a hike, or lounging in your apartment, Balooandamp;#39;s adaptability and good manners shine through.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Speaking of the bare necessities, Baloo seems to have it all figured out. Heandamp;#39;s a pro at potty training, leash manners, and apartment living - making him the ideal companion for those looking for a stress-free and enjoyable canine friend.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Hiking enthusiasts, rejoice! Baloo is always up for an adventure in the great outdoors, channeling his inner jungle explorer. With him by your side, every hike becomes a joyful journey filled with wagging tails and a carefree spirit. If youandamp;#39;re searching for a canine friend who embraces the bare necessities and adds a touch of love and magic to your days, Baloo is the perfect match.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
