My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Placed as At-Risk due to Behavior: Very scared. Not thriving in this environment. Couldnandamp;#39;t do a dog test because heandamp;#39;s shutting down and wouldnandamp;#39;t react to them but I strongly recommend sending him home with an experienced foster that can work on decompression first. If there are other dogs in the home keep them separate or do slow intros. Must do a meet and greet.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Meet Drako, an irresistibly cute and beefy boy with a heart full of potential. Despite his imposing appearance, Drako finds himself in a shelter environment where he is understandably scared and shut down. This gentle giant is seeking a patient and loving home to help him overcome his fears. In the shelter, Drakoandamp;#39;s initial fear has led him to be hesitant about venturing outside his kennel. However, beneath the fear, he reveals himself to be a good boy with a kind soul. Drakoandamp;#39;s subdued nature is not a reflection of his true self, but rather a response to the unfamiliar surroundings.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Drakoandamp;#39;s journey to a loving home begins with understanding and patience. His adorable appearance and gentle demeanor make him a diamond in the rough, waiting for the right family to bring out the best in him. By providing a secure and nurturing environment, you can help Drako blossom into the confident and happy dog he is meant to be. Adopt Drako, and together, embark on a journey of healing and companionship with this sweet and scared soul.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.

Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
