My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rebel may have a gray old man face, but don’t let his looks deceive you- he’s a youngin’ and has tons of energy to join you on your daily adventures! Here’s what some of his volunteer friends have said:

“Rebel is a frosty faced guy so I was immediately drawn to him. He settles nicely on his walks and likes to smell along the way. He sits when asked, takes treats nicely, and enjoys a few head scritches. I have a very pleasant time with him. He`s been well-mannered and behaved in the time I have spent with him. Very nice dog.”

“Rebel was very excited in his kennel but once outside he calmed down. We had a nice walk together, he did a lot of sniffing and was very independent. He`s a good boy!”

“I’ve been taking Rebel out regularly for some time. He loves his walks and has been well behaved on leash. We often go down to the wash to explore, and he savors all the interesting scents we pass. He loves his treats, and he takes them from my hand with a gentle mouth. Rebel is rather stressed in the shelter, but on our walks he shows me what a fine dog he can be in a more relaxed environment.”

“Rebel was so much fun to walk today! I offered him a toy, which he proudly held on to for the entire time we were at the park, periodically making the toy squeak. So cute! I petted him on his back as we walked along, which he was comfortable with. Walking him was the highlight of my day.”

Rebel was lucky to spend a bit of time in a foster home- here’s what we learned:

- He is housebroken and knows how to use a doggy door
- He is very friendly and calm
- He is always up for a car ride
- He enjoys going on hikes
- He did great meeting older kiddos
- He loves to chase a ball

Rebel would like to find a home where he can be your one and only and hog all of your attention for himself. Ask to meet Rebel today!
