Meet our very handsome and sweet senior boy named Izzy! Izzy is about 11.5 years old, and he has lots of love to share! He came to us as a surrender after he had been living in a car with his owner for about 9 months. His owner knew it was not fair to Izzy to continue living this way, so he decided to give Izzy a chance to have a new home. Izzy is a very friendly boy who loves getting attention! He is also content with a warm, cozy bed and a few toys to play with. He is housetrained and will barely relieve himself in his kennel. Izzy is good with other dogs and has tested well with cats. He can go to a home with children 10 years and older who have dog experience.
Izzy recently lost his female dog companion who he lived with for most of his life. He would love to have a family to spend the rest of his years with. He is a polite gentleman who enjoys spending time in our office with our staff. He is still playful and would enjoy going on short walks. Izzy is heartworm and tick borne disease negative. He is now neutered and up to date on rabies vaccinations.

MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly.
You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
