My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Cousteau, the larger-than-life black cat with a heart of gold and a dapper white tie adorning his chest! At 15 pounds, he's a gentle giant overflowing with sweetness. Cousteau isn't just your ordinary cat—he's an expert baker, whipping up batches of biscuits daily with precision and finesse. And when it's time to unwind, he seamlessly transitions into his role as a part-time weighted blanket, enveloping you in a cocoon of calm and love.

Although he was adopted out as a kitten, Cousteau's journey took a different turn when he was found abandoned and later diagnosed with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). But don't let that deter you—this resilient boy is living proof that FIV is not a death sentence. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and FeLV-negative, Cousteau is a shining example of how cats with FIV can lead happy, fulfilling lives.

It's time to end the stigma surrounding FIV. Cats like Cousteau often live the same lifespans as their FIV-negative counterparts, spreading joy and love wherever they go. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this extraordinary feline, apply to adopt Cousteau today and join us in breaking down barriers and celebrating the resilience of cats like him. Together, let's rewrite the narrative and give Cousteau the loving forever home he truly deserves. To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption application at tinyurl.com/ccapadoptions.

All fosters under the San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition: Community Cat Adoption Program are fostered privately through foster homes.  They are spayed/neutered, given age appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped before adoptions are finalized.  SAFCC is a 501c3 non profit, all volunteer organization serving San Antonio and Bexar County, Texas.
