My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Heather. I am a sweet, quiet, gentle girl. I am 1 to 2 years old, already spayed, and weigh only 25 pounds. I look like I might be a Feist Terrier mix. I arrived from Kentucky in February, where I was spotted living in the wild for at least a month. I eventually got caught in a coyote trap. So, understandably, fear and anxiety are big issues for me. But I am making progress.

I need a quiet home and a patient person who can help me overcome my fear. I love the dogs at my foster home, but rambunctious dogs scare me. I might be able to live with cats, but I haven't met any since my arrival in PA. I'm trying to be brave when I go outside, but I'm still frightened by the outdoors. I'm also afraid of my leash, but I am consistent and accurate using my pee pads. I can stay home quietly and not get into anything when you go out. If you live in an apartment, that would probably work for me. If you are old like my foster parents (LOL) I would be a good dog for you.
And consider this: If you wear black pants or tshirts, my beautiful shiny black coat won't show on your clothes! Think of the money you will save on lint rollers! Thanks for checking me out!

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.
