Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rehoming 4 year old shepherd. I’ve had him for about 3 months. I had very little information about him when I accepted him. The owner had a stroke and her husband was moving her out of state due to medical needs. Ranger had not been neutered so I suspect that he was used as a stud. I took him to a trainer and based on his behavior she thought he had been physically abused as he seeks to use his crate, has not been properly socialized, cowers when a stranger reaches toward his face to pet him and shows signs of fear aggression. He is not a pack leader. He is house broke and with practice, now walks pretty well on a short leash.
Last month, while on leash, a neighbor reached across Rangers head to pet him and Ranger reacted in a defensive manner biting the neighbors finger and then backing away. The bite broke the skin but did not require medical attention.
He really is a very sweet dog but he is not a good fit for my retired lifestyle.
