My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Duke and I am available for adoption.

I was brought in by a good Samaritan on 01/30/24

I weigh 76.0 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.

I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit` and `come`

I am an independent dog who likes to do my own thing! I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I walk pretty well on leash, and respond appropriately to gentle corrections.

My personality color is RED. I am an adaptable dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

I`m a Playgroup Pal! Ask the staff today about my interactions with other dogs at the shelter in our Playgroups.

My caregivers have observed that I might not get along with other dogs unless properly matched with the right dog. I may do best as the only dog in my new home, or I will need a very slow introduction to other dogs with lots of positive experiences.
