This absolutely beautiful boy came to us as a severely injured stray on, you guessed it- Groundhog Day! Poor Groundhog had a very deep gash on his neck when he arrived, luckily noticed by the kind person who brought him in. We were able to get him to a vet right away and he has healed wonderfully!
Upon intake, we also discovered that he tested positive for FIV. Groundhog is a calm and gentle boy, and can still live side by side with healthy cats.
He's a little shy at first, and definitely loves cuddling in cat caves, but once he recognizes you, he'll come out and roll on his back for belly pats as soon as he sees you. He's soft and sweet and gets along with other calm kitties.
Groundhog is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is FIV positive, and that does not require any additional care, but since FIV cats are immunocompromised, they can be more susceptible to illness. It would be best for other animals in the house to be healthy or also FIV positive.
