My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful Benjamin dreams of finding a loving & patient home he can grow in!

His foster family has really enjoyed watching him settle into their home. They report he has some great basic training under his belt.

potty trained
crate trained
knows sit, down & come
sleeps thru the night

Benjamin is all the things we LOVE about older puppies! He’s still got that goofy puppy demeanor but without the shoe stealing and midnight potty runs

Just like all rescue dogs, he is PERFECTLY imperfect. Benjamin would LOVE some help building his confidence in the outside world. He loves being home with his foster family and fits right in, but sometimes the outside world and meeting new people, can be a little scary for Benjamin.

This boy has already made so much progress and did incredible at his first brewery outing during our event last weekend! He did great, even with lots of strangers coming right up to him, he also was very interested in sniffing butts with all the other dogs there!

So what is Benny’s perfect home you may wonder?

We would love to find him a home with another chill & confident dog. He has been fostered with many other dogs and does well learning from them.

A more quiet home would be best, so that Benjamin can take his time to settle in.

He would love to attend doggy daycare, go for hikes, and just cuddle with his people

This is a GREAT dog that has been overlooked, because no one has taken the time to give him a chance. We know his people are out there!

PS - Please keep in mind, our bio's are based on feedback we have received from the current foster home the dog is in. We can never guarantee how a transition will affect the dog. GBP is here to help make the transition as easy as possible but time + patience are also important when adopting a new PAL. Breed Mixes & Ages are a best guess and can not be guaranteed**

More about this rescue

The Gals Best Pal Rescue Mission is to be a voice for the voiceless as it advocates for the dogs in its care while finding them safe, suitable, caring homes. The organization works with likeminded partners across the country and throughout the state of Massachusetts to rescue unwanted animals experiencing neglect, abuse, homelessness or at risk of euthanasia. The rescue also strives to make a difference for many unwanted dogs from different unfortunate situations. It does this by providing nurturing foster homes, promoting the importance of responsible dog ownership and, most importantly, spaying and neutering every dog that comes through the rescue as it aims to cut back on the overpopulation crisis occurring in many shelters and rescues across the nation.
