My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peanut Pete
Male
Age: 2-3 years
Weight: 52lbs
Breed: Lab Mix

Hi, I’m Peanut Pete! I am an observant and curious boy who is house trained and crate trained (I can be left for the duration of a normal work day). I haven’t been around cats and kids to know how I would be around them yet. I am dog friendly with slow and proper introductions and time to decompress. I am great on leash for walks with my foster mom, but since I am extra curious about other dogs I might lunge at them when on my walks, so we are working on this as well as my meeting and understanding what it means to be around dogs. I absolutely love my walks and runs and love to sniff all the things. I am an observant guy and love to check out everything around me. I like to play fetch as long as you have a second ball handy. I don’t always like to bring it back. I like to curl up and take naps with you and can entertain myself with my toys if you can’t give me attention sometimes. But, I do not like to be alone when you are around, so I will entertain myself in the same room. Hard toys are best for me. My foster mom says I am the sweetest boy who just wants to be loved. I am a quick learner and just want to please my human. I also get super excited with positive reinforcement and listen very well when I know what you want from me. I am a strong boy with lots of energy, so an active family who help me get that young energy out would be best for me. If you are looking for a dog who is sweet and smart and an extra great cuddler, I am your guy and I cannot wait to find a family all my own who will provide me all the love I deserve! If you are interested in meeting Pete, apply to adopt him at: www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $350 Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 5 years old or older.
